Tourists meeting the eVisa requirements are given either a single-entry visa or a multiple entry visa, depending upon the nationality that they belong to. The length of stay with the eVisa ranges between 30 to 90 days.

Some people can enter Turkey visa-free for certain days. Russian citizens can stay in Turkey visa-free for about 60 days visa-free. EU citizens can stay in Turkey for up to 90 days without a visa. Tourist Travel Purpose

You can visit your friends or family members living in Turkey. Following a course or making a cruise trip going ashore can be considered as a tourist travel purpose. If you are going on a cruise trip, you can stay in Turkey for 72 hours without a visa.

Business Travel Purpose

This includes traveling to Turkey for business purposes like meeting a client, visiting an event or conference, establishing contacts, etc. You can't directly work for a Turkish employer. You need to be officially employed by a company from your own country. However, that company is allowed to be paid by a Turkish organization to allow you to work under them.

The visa fee for Turkey is €49,95 per person. You can also submit an urgent visa application which is granted within 14 minutes of applying and costs an additional fee of €17,50 per person. The Turkish government has higher visa fees for American nationality, which is €20,00 per traveller.

Photo Requirements for a Turkey Visa

You need to submit the proof/document of your round-trip flight to Turkey to your embassy/consulate on your appointment day. You will need to show them proof of how you are travelling to reach Turkey and your plans after landing there. You will need to show documents of invitations to events, booked tours, hall tickets, museum tickets, etc.Depending upon your means of transport, other documents like a bus ticket, train ticket, driver's licence, permission to enter Turkey by car or any other means of travel, etc., are accepted as well.

Travel Health Insurance Document

It is necessary to have Travel Health Insurance to have a safe journey to Turkey. The insurance needs to have a minimum coverage of €30,000 and must cover the whole Turkey territory

Police Clearance Document

You need to submit a police clearance certificate or any other relevant certificate issued by the authorities of your country to show that you don't have any criminal records or have not been involved in any criminal activities so far.

Travellers from countries like Antigua-Barbuda, Armenia, Australia, Bahamas, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Mauritius, St Lucia, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, United States of America, Barbados, China, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Maldives, Oman, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates can St Vincent and the Grenadines can stay in Turkey for up to 90 days (30 days in some other cases) provided they also meet the other visa requirements.

Nationalities allowed to Turkey without a visa

Visitors from countries like the EU, Brazil, Chile, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and New Zealand can travel to Turkey for a limited period without eVisa. The visits are of a period of 30 days to 90 days per 180-day period. This criterion varies for different nationalities.

Visitors need to keep their valid passport and the Turkish eVisa ready for inspection by the immigrant officials at the border.

What if you do not meet the requirements for eVisa?

You can visit your nearest Turkish embassy/consulate and opt for a physical visa. However, applying for a physical visa takes more time and is more expensive. Make sure to keep all your documents ready beforehand for an online or offline visa.

What if your visa has Expired?

If you are not in Turkey and your visa expires, you can always apply for a new one. The visa for Turkey is valid for 180 days, and you can stay up to 90 days with this visa. If your 90 days are over, but you still have your 180-days validity, then you can always apply for another visa. You can apply for an unlimited number of visas for Turkey. However, suppose the Turkish immigration services suspect that you are taking advantage of your visa and are living in Turkey. In that case, that might lead to denial for applying for new visas.

Suppose you are in Turkey and your visa expires. In that case, you can always report to the local police and arrange an extension or a residence permit. At the local police, you can also apply for permission to change your travel purpose depending upon the change of the duration of your stay.
